Monday 22nd June
Can you believe this is your last official week in primary school? I know it’s a very different experience to many other kids that have gone before you but I have no doubt the class of 2020 will never be forgotten!!
As we start to wind down on the workload, I want you to do a little bit of reflecting on your time in Scoil Mhuire, Loughegar. So today I want you to sit down, take out a piece of paper and record your answers to the following questions.
What is your favourite memory from your time in 6th class?
List 3 memories that made you laugh throughout your entire time in Loughegar.
Name an event or occasion that you really enjoyed here.
What did you love the most this year?
When you have these recorded keep them in a safe place as we will get a chance to share these with each other soon!
That’s all your written work for today!
I’ve highlighted two topics for you to work on IXL also. In Maths we’re looking at Decimals and in English we’re looking at commas and capital letters. You’ll have all that done in the blink of an eye!
Tuesday 23rd June
How are we all now? I can’t wait for Thursday and our big whole school Zoom Meet-Up! It’s going to be cool! I hope that you and all your families will be able to make it as we’ll all really want to say a special goodbye to you!
Don’t be too upset though, myself and Mr. Brennan are looking forward to seeing you on our School Tour on Friday 24th June at Lilliput! …. you won’t be rid of me as quick as you think!! 😀
Today we’re going to do a little more work on IXL. I’ve highlighted a mix of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division questions as well as some work on contractions in the English section.
Finally one last piece of art work for you to complete this year!
Wednesday 24th June
I just want to say well done to everyone who has worked so hard over the last number of months. You should all be really proud of yourselves, for taking everything in your stride and doing your best to keep up with your school work from home. I’m so impressed and really admire how well you have done.
Today is your last official day of school work before the holidays so all I’ll ask is that you try 20 questions on any topic in English and 20 questions on any topic in Maths on IXL. Apart from that guys take it easy and enjoy the rest of your day!
This day 4 weeks will be your Confirmation so I’m sure lots of you will be making plans, I’m so excited to see you all in the flesh again!
Tomorrow will be your final Zoom Meet-Up with the whole school so I hope you can all tune in to say your goodbyes!
See you tomorrow,
